My PLN has really expanded since my first report.I have added more to Symbaloo.com.I think it is great .Everything is easy to add and with one click its there.I like this because I could add all my favorite websites and more.I have added some of the following

Summary C4T #4

I enjoyed my teachers Blog.My first comment was on Wm Chamberlain post.The post talked about how flat Stanley was received in the mail.Stanley has been used for many years for students.It was something new to me.I got the understanding that you can get information very easy when using this project.It is a great project to use in the classroom.I would like to learn more of this tool.Flat Stanley is a handy tool that you can see what others have learn and see new ideas.Great post. It is always great to get new ideas for the future.

Secondly, I comment on the same teacher and this time the blog talked about Netflix.The teacher tells that the library did not have the documentary that needed to to be shown in the class for the students.It is recommend to try Netflix for the classroom room when other items are not provided .I think its good to just try something different.Plus its only nine dollars.I think it would be good to try out.

November and December C4K

I have the privilege to comment on Mrs.Yollis 3rd Grade Class.They did a number of things that were very helpful.They are from California.Some things I saw on the blog were projects they had done and also posters telling others to always stay drug free.I commented on the Hello Song.The students learned it from another teacher that was from Connecticut. There were dance movements and each students had a new way to say hello.They said them in another language.How cool is that? I enjoyed the song.It was awesome to see the smiles and learn as well.

Brandyn
I commented on Brandyn Blog.I liked this one because it gave me a chance to refresh my French.The student was very interesting.She seems to be a very hard worker.She likes to skateboard with friends.She is a very outstanding student.

Thirdly, I comment on a student by the name of Trace.She was using Skype.I told her that this is very good tool to take whole of.It allows you to be connected to friends and family.I also told her that it is great for educational reasons.She had a great blog.

Lastly,I comment on Ms.Naugle's Class blog.I commented on a student by the name of Alexis.She was great a writing.The blog told about the project of the pumpkin.They have to count the seeds in a team. She was very surprised that her medium pumpkin had 300 seeds.They were given seeds to take home to roast.Awesome blog post.!

Additional Assignment #5

We were assigned to read four post by Mr.Spencer .What I got from the first post Teach them to solve for X was basically do what need to be done so that students can learned it.We as teachers do not have to over do something for the students to comprehend.Simply teach it and apply it for knowledge. Sketch Portraits was to me about building relationships with your students.It should be a requirement on your hand to get involved with that student.I believe making sure you understand that student can be helpful in many ways.Communication is a  major thing that needs to be in classrooms.As educators we can not forget that.Build a relationship it makes a difference.He just likes the class for the pencil was more compassion for those that need it.The post was a trust factor that was put in place.The medium shapes the learning very good post and helpful.I think that all these post are great yet you have to make sure you read carefully or you could miss some point.Great work..!!

           

Blog 13

   Alabama Learning Exchange is something I haven't heard about but it is very useful for education.It is a website that is great for all teachers and students.It has tools that are educational and resourceful to all administrators.It starts at the level for kindergarten all the way to 12th graders.The site has course of study as a  feature that you can  access information by grade levels or keywords.Individuals can browse for all Alabama content   Standards.When clicking on the subjects you can see the objectives as well as lessons plans others have created.It has the grade levels on the columns as well.Another thing available on this site is lesson plans broken down by subjects.There are web-links resources that are handy for teachers, administration,and students.All of this is at your finger tips by just one click.The thing I liked was it has a professional learning feature that shows new updates for news,learning and more practice.It has a feature for special education talking about the guidelines and IDE.When looking for educational tools this is a great site to use.It can give a new foundation for the classroom.It has something for everyone.I think you can learn a lot. Access Distance Learning    
ACCESS- Alabama Connecting Classrooms,Educators,and Student Statewide
The site helps individual view the long distance learning.It allows students to gain information from others that can teach what is not given at their schools.Students get to be introduced to others from new backgrounds and new areas.Access offers many classes for students to be able to get ahead as well as for them to be able to graduate. The website offers many opportunities for high school students.The vision is that all are provided equal access to high quality instruction to improve student achievement through distance learning.I think all students should check out this site here is the link.http://accessdl.state.al.us/. 

Progress Report Final Project

So far my final project is going well.We all have decided on what days are great to start recording.Anyone is on the same page and have great ideas.The meeting day will be on Thursday November the 11 at two o'clock to put our minds to work.The group has decided to do a movie.I hope that everyone likes it.We have also thought about working together on the rest of everything that is due.So the progress report seems to be at a level of grade A.

Survey Summary

                                                                              I asked students about Fashion and what is means to   them.

                                                                  -  Most people answered that fashion shows ones personality about 67%.

                                                    -50% said they think fashion is being comfortable

                                                        -83% replied that they care about their appearance

                          -Variety of favorite designers

                                                            -39% change their clothes seven times on a daily basis before leaving home.

                            -44% shops monthly while 22% shop every week

                           -Cotton seems to be the favorite fabric 83%

-89% picks clothes on their body shape

                                          -the favorite color seems to be other ,pink,and blue.Blue was 39% and pink was 50%

Many people said that they see fashion everywhere and thats how they choose their style.

Blog Assignment #12

I think a good Blog Post Assignment would be  for students to list goals they want to reach before the end of the semester .Another Post that could go with this one is what motivates you to reach your goals and who inspires you when you fell like letting go.I think its good for students or viewers to see a little inside of the blogger feelings.

My answers would be as it follows: To Graduate from College,Enter the Education Field,Work hard for a stable foundation for my future family,and keep positive.

I motivate myself to keep going when life struggles seems to be over burrowing.I always remember to keep my head high and I know who sits High  above this world. All the things I ask and pray for will be added upon my life with faith in my heart.Thats motivation to me.My mother and family are my support systems and they inspire me when I feel like giving in.I think motivation is the pusher for goals.So keep pushing and keep striving for your destiny.

Summary Post Teacher # 3

I was assigned to a teacher from North Island,New Zealand.The name of my teacher was Dragonsinger.She gives information that she is a mother,blogger,and even musician.How about she says she is a computer geek.Dragonsinger tells about the secret passion she has and its teaching is not about feeding information into students brains, yet its creating a place for them to be inspired and being excited about discovery.I totally agree that feeding students somethings hender them from learning in another way.Dragonsinger goal for her students is to leave an impact for them to learn more and to want see what is out there in the world.I explored more with Dragonsinger blog and she does this blog post as a practice of what has worked in the classroom and what has not worked.She wanted to share the information with us and others in her PLN.
Dragonsinger blog is called learning,unlearning,and relearning.She goes on conferences and post links for others to watch .The videos that are post are ways that viewers can see ways to helps students.We have to develop change for them. Dragonsinger also gave a break down of how a normal conference goes for her on a daily basis. I looked at the summary she left and it seem very helpful also fun.She went to the tenth ulearn conference.The conference are a base of new sources and keynotes.I enjoyed her blog a lot of helpful information to use.

Blog 11

Ms.Cassidy approach with technology is awesome.Ms.Cassidy is a first grade teacher in Canada.In the classroom of Ms.Cassidy, she has her students blogging,writing people in other places,and even finding educational games.I love the fact that she did this in video form.I saw how the students came to class getting involved.They were excited to learn and even teach the audience how to do blogs or whatever task they were performing.I would think I would use the blogs in my classroom as a future teacher.The students can work on ways to improve skills as well as the parents keeping up with how the child is doing.I would also use Skype for the students to see who they are learning about and for them to build communication skills with others. Its so much that I would use so that my students will be updated with the change of the world far as technology goes. The impediments that anyone would encounter is the connection or maybe popups sites.Another thing that can happen is the computer could   freeze because of the downloads.Things like that happen.So when they do we use the next best thing and thats our  creative skills.I would use ways that I could still keep the students attention.Students can work on a project or even things that are preparing them for an upcoming video until the sources are handled.The key is to always keep students protected and tell them the ways that computers work at times of difficulty.I enjoyed this blog and Ms.Cassidy she gave many ways that can keep students imagination going on and on for a long time.Check out the video sometime. Sir Ken Robinson: Changing Educational Paradigms

What do you think is the most important thing Sir Ken Robinson says in this presentation?
How do we educate our children to take their place in the economic of the 21st century.I would say we just have to take the changes as they come and teach them the best ways there are.

Is there anything you disagree with in this presentation?Sir Ken Robinson made alot of good points so I dont think I disagree to much.

How congruent are Sir Ken Robinson's positions with those which you are being taught in the College of Education. In other words, where is there agreement? Where is there disagreement?
I think very different because we are told we become wiser as we grow older but in this case the youth develops more knowledge in a early age.We were told just one answer instead of looking the information up ourselves.Now days children know more and give more .I think we should increase with the changes made.Daydream a little more.

What can you do to address the issues Sir Robinson raises?
Never give up and keep learning more.We have to be creative and see ways that we never thought of before.I think even researching more will get more updates for help.

What do you think of the presentation? If you had to do a presentation with others like this, what role on your team would you like most to play?

I really enjoyed this presentation.I thought it gave a lot of facts and information.Robinson created a new way for his audience to take notes.I loved it.If I had to do a presentation like this my role would be organizing and possible thinking of the drawing facts.

Comment#3-My student name was Saadiya from Auckland,N.Z.The students tells about the morning of Ramadan.She wakes up at sunrise and eats a nice warm meal that is rice and meat.She takes care of her sibling  Ahmed while her mother is eating breakfast as well.Saadiya seemed very helpful and responsible. I know it can be hard adapting to a new place but she seem to deal with it well.I enjoyed the post and will be keeping u with more posts.
Comment #4-My student was a six grader.Leanne talks about the visit of her parents on teacher conference day.She tells that the teacher gives her some pointer to work on.One was to have confidence and to work harder on her reports that are given.Leanne also tells what she likes about school which is the friends she has meet and lunch time.I enjoyed the post and will be seeing Leanne process in the class.

 Mr.W seventh grade class.Luke was a student from Tasmania which is in Austria.He is thirteen years.He enjoys the beach and surfing with his cousin regularly.I would like to think that Luke loves family time.School events is something that Luke talks about on his blog.They play football and also go camping.Also Luke tell ways that he finds information easy to find.He tells us the search engine he uses such as Ask,Boogami,and w3catalog.I really enjoyed Luke's blog he is very interesting.I look forward to reading and keeping up with more of his posts.

Mr.Goerend and Mrs.Quam Sixth grade class.They are from Iowa.My student name was Spencer T.I did not find much on his blog. Spencer has two siblings baby brother and sister that live in Maine with his father. I read that Spencer has a new dog and he tells that the dog is pretty boring.I asked him did he did play any tricks with him.I asked other questions to learn more about the student.I enjoyed the information that I did read.

Miss Gilbert Fifth grade class.My student name was Carson.Carson learned about Red Ribbon Week.He tells why the day is celebrated.He learned some information he did not know.I also told him the importance of being drug free and always being different from others.I liked this blog.Carson seemed like a student that likes to get more information to take on to others.

An Open Letter To Educators By Morgan Bayda
When comparing my attitude or experience with Morgan Bayda I have to agree with her on somethings.I feel like sitting in long lectures for hours are pointless some days. If I could understand everything the professor said that would be awesome but thats not the case ever.I have had teachers lecture and thats it no interaction with the students at all. I would think long lecture wouldn't be so bad if the professors were creative and kept the students attention.I know I can begin to get a little bored when a teacher drags on and on about the same thing.Mostly when that happen I'm thinking about what I'm going to eat for lunch or dinner my focus should be on the teachers concept of the lesson.I like to learn when new things are provided.

Small classes are great when the course is organized differently.I like when teachers prepare in the lesson where students are interacting with others you tend to learn more.But that happen rarely.The thing about college and classes is a person has to be open to learn and develop communication in class whether in small or large classes.I like to believe that we all could make it work then if we change the classroom ourselves.

At South I have learned a lot because I ask when the help is needed.I have opened new accounts such as twitter, Skype, time toast,and other sites .My teacher is very helpful and wants us to learn. The thing is in this class its a hands on class so you are learning many new things .I found that the things we are doing I did not know about and it helps .When you get teachers that are advanced and think about students the system changes as well. The sad thing is we all will not get those type teachers .

Dan Brown made some good points.I just feel like we all should give education a chance.Education can be changed in the right hands.If we continue to take the path of change thing will be better. Teachers have to be creative and think differently I wish him the best with his decision and everyone knows what is best for them.

I liked this post.New information is always helpful.I am a open minded person so I think about what others have to say.I think future educators should visit the blog it leave you to think about somethings.

Mr.McClung "What I've learned This Year"
I really enjoyed this post a lot.Mr.McClung tells about his first year experience as a first year teacher in Noel,Missouri. He talks about how he has grown into a better teacher and what he has learned.He decided to share it.
He states that we should know how to read the crowd.Most of the time we are so focused on how we are viewed by others that we lose our audience which is the students.Mr.Mcclung says that he believed that it was all about him as a teacher. The judgement from his supervisors was where his attention went.  He says that its a common thing that teachers do not make their lessons centered for the students to comprehend. They are so focused on the content and the delivery that it makes.In closing he says in order for teachers to be effective we must like the students drive the instructions.Mr.Clung, goes a little farther  tell us to be flexible.We have to know that no lesson is perfect.When things do not go the way as  planned keep going with a positive attitude and a smile on your face.Teacher can not beat themselves up over an activity that did not go well.Always look for a solution in the problem of the lesson.We have to remember who we are performing in front of in the classroom.

Communication is the best way to solve all problem in the workplace.Mr.Mcclung say that if there is a problem talk it out .Although communication is a hard skill to develop, we should practice it.We need to build a life line with our teachers and students.Mr.Mcclung tells us to be reasonable with our students. Of course we have high expectation for them ,but sometime they do not always live up to them.When student do not live up to that particular standard keep encouraging them to keep going.We can not loose that touch we our students.

Mr.McClung goes on to tell us dont be afraid of technology.He says that we cant be scared to try something new.We will not learn everything the first time we start.The key is to keep trying to develop skills for the classroom and your students.Another, point that McClung points out is to listen to your students.When they are heard you learn more about them.Some teacher do not take the time to listen and that can be a problem.It is important to have that respect for your student and build a relationship with them.Lastly, we are told to never stop learning it is never to late to change the style in the classroom.We have to want more.

I really liked the advice that Mr.McClung gives us .We should never lose focus on our students learning.We need them to be the driver of what we are trying to get them to comprehend.I have to agree with McClung when he says that every lesson will not be perfect, there are going to be many changes and thats life.Communication is a very good skill to have with other and should be develop in the workplace that way we will always know where you stand with an individual. I like that statement. We as teachers and future teachers have to always remember to keep our student focused and confident. I would like to think of it as their overall push helper.Finally, I loved the last point and it says never stop learning that is so true.I will  not allow myself to not want to soak up as much as I can.I want my students to know in the future that my teacher helped me in all the ways she could by changing the style of learning for each student.

Ricard Miller:This Is How We Dream.







Ricard Miller is awesome.He tells about how he grew up with books being in his household.Ricard said that he has always wanted to have a career with books.He has wrote a book on amazon and recommends that we all should buy it. He is now working on a project that is not about physical hand held books, but books that dealing with the computer web base. It has documents that are visual and he shows how that are useful.The documents are of print,sound,and visual.

Imaginably,he shows things that are not just in paper book,but are also on the computer.He calls them fundamental changes.Ricard shows how the reactions and changes in votes of Obama election can still be seen.The Washington Newspaper and Martin Luther King Jr speech can all be seen online through moving pictures and informational news.I think that is great.Education and even the source of more learning can be found online.

Ricard says that publishing learning online is something that should happen.I agree because the focus will be there and more information.The visual and creativity can draw people into this online book.If it is put together well it get the viewers attention to want more.The ideas of different tasks have to be shown as well. Ricard states that inspiring space has to be available.The dream can be done Ricard says and shall be done.

I really enjoyed this video.Ricard plan is very organized and informational.I would have to believe that when new ideas are placed out there, we should try to look into more of it. I love the fact that Ricard has the idea to put technology online in computer base form instead of just physical books.Somethings need to be visual .Individuals are attracted to things that catch their attention so it should be creative. These resource online are great ways of learning and its free globally.I think its great for students that rather be in there rooms studying more so than in the library.Either way is a source for learning and I am all for new ideas.I would like to be prepared to write with multimedia.Also, my student will as well.


The Chipper and EDM310 for Dummies
The videos are basic overview of how important it is to be on time and work hard.I learned that no matter how many decisions you make you should not give up.These videos gave a way of entertainment to show others how to get the job done.I love it and I caught my self getting in a few laughs time to time.Although life may have some road blocks keep pushing.I think a idea for a video would be a recording of students daily work of EDM such as comments for kids, projects, or even getting help with a step for posting certain blogs.I think a basic break down would be nice to show an audience.

Critiques of SmartBoards
I have to disagree with these educators. I would like the fact that helping my students get involved in the classroom helps us all. I think that learning in new ways farther ones education.The students will be excited about learning new activities.The teacher can even learn with the new development of a smart board.I have not used a smart board, but just the research on how it is a better combination for the students I would use it.We as educators have to want more for our student learning and for them to participate in class.They are learning skills and gaining confidence of material.I have looked at a couple of sites that give games and activities of the use of smartboards.

I have started to develop my PLN on Symbaloo. I find it to be very helped with assignments that I am trying to keep up with. 1.What do you think? If learners are motivated, can they teach themselves?
Yes, because you have to have the mind set to want to learn more. I believe motivation is the push factor in everyday learning.

Yes, the new generation come wanting to learn more. They develop ways though experiencing thing in their own ways.

3.What conditions are necessary for kids to teach themselves? For anyone to teach him or herself?
The skills and techniques are needed for anyone to teach themselves.Also having the materials provided for them.

4.What role do computers and internet access play in the process?
Computers and Internet provide the the access of informational facts and sources.

5.. What role does motivation, a desire to learn?
When a student has the desire for something the material usually stays with them. I believe that when you have a desire you push harder to learn it because your interested in that skill.Others may not take the time in that because they were not passion about that particular task.

6.What roles do a problem, a question or multiple problems or questions play in the process?
Most children would want to get the issue solved to know for themselves.

7.How do you motivate someone to learn?
I motivate a person by telling them to believe in themselves.I try to help them in the ways that they do not usually think about.I tell them to always have confidence and faith in what you have set goals for. All things are possible just believe.

I would have to think that I am motivated by the hands on tasks.I want to learn more and be updated with the new skills that are developed.When you want more you, you push for that foundation.I want a career and learning comes along with that.I have to keep in mind how I will get there and there is motivation.

Yes, anyone can learn motivation just helps the process.When your learning, your just getting the information needed.It does not mean motivation and learning go hand in hand.Everyone is capable of learning.

Yes,when I need to develop that skill more.I do this because it is practice and I am learning the mistakes that are made at times.I teach myself everyday to become better and professional.

Teacher help me learn things that I dont know.They teach me how to develop the skills for my career.

I would have to say that we are capable of learning what we put our minds to.Creativity is a skill that helps us all develop learning .

I think aspiring teachers should think about how can they solve children thoughts of being curiosity.Teacher can try to develop groups for the children.

Summary Teacher 2

I was assigned to Paula White.The name of her blog was called Reflections of the TZSTeacher.The first blog I read was about Incidental learning.She talked about how the children were only in the classroom for seventeen days and she came back to visit them.She taught a lesson dealing with series of graphs as math stories.Students would learn how to read the graphs as a story picture.They were given comparison from different books , doing this helped them learn the concepts from a another level.Ms.Paula goes on to talk about her days as a k teacher and reflects on her days.She monitors the students with their activity.Paula states that she really enjoyed teaching kindergarten, because of how the students are very involved with learning what you teach them. It is easy to teach them because they are watching everything that is going on in the classroom.Paula ends her post by giving a story.She hopefully leaves two students that misbehaved with a lesson learned.Students are to respect other learning and that it is okay for all to be interested at the same time and the same things. I really enjoyed reading her post.

My second post was on the second part of the Incidental learning.In this post Paula reads a story called Once Upon a Time.Instead of the students doing the series of graph using math, they did the lines and dots.I liked this method that was used. When Paula explained how students use lines and dots it made more sense.A teacher can see what student have developed from preschool experience and they ones that need the support.The students were to show the fear in the story of the Three little Pigs.I would use this technique in the kindergarten classroom.It is a great method.

Assignment Blog 7

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
The last lecture was very inspirational and interesting.I enjoyed the humor that was used to keep the audience attention.I would recommend anyone not just students to watch this video.Pausch's video was about childhood dreams and enabling the dreams of others.We as adults should never think we can not achieve the things we set the goals for.Pausch says,that we can not change the cards we are dealt.I really like this statement because no matter how hard life gets you should always try to find ways to solve the issue your dealing with.I like to think about sour candy, although they are sour you can try to find the sweetness when your done with them.I thought that the speech was awesome and great because it was Pausch last message for his children.I am very emotional and that set home in my heart.

Motivation is the key to keep going.We must never give up.I think Pausch hit the nail on the wall with this one.I can say myself that it is easy to give up when things are not going good.When did life become easy? I will always remember that nothing that is worth having is easy to get. We as students must help each other to accomplish things that are set out .If you have a passion for something just keep the focus and it will be received. No one should let there set backs be what determines their destiny.

Life are lessons that are learned.We learn from the experiences of the wrong things in life.We have to take one day at a time and the experiences that happen are yours no one will take that.I am going to encourage my students believe in their dreams.They can be whatever they want to be and I will be a educator that will help them get there.Experiences are the things you can teach others because you have been though it.

Life is what you make out of it.There are few or even a lot of bumps in the road.They are called bricks.When the road blocks or bricks stop you what will you do to keep going?Will you push hard to move the brick or quit because that is the easy thing to do.Pausch inspired me with his speech.It states that we have to keep the dream alive and help others along the way.I will keep this approach on a daily bases and keep it in mind for my students Anything is possible will you believe in yourself.The information that Pausch gave will a spread for the voice of motivation.

I had the privilege to comment on a student blog from Noel Elementary School.I was assigned to a student by the name of Kirsten.Kirsten seemed to be a very bright young lady. She has three sibling that are very important to her. She stated that family is something that she knows she can count on.Kirsten likes basketball and communication art.I liked the fact that she tells early that she has a weakness in math and wants to get the help first hand.I enjoyed reading the about me blog.

Kirsten, had to do a learning manifesto blog. The manifesto blog is goal that are set. Kristen sets goals that will keep her alert with learning. She says that she will get to bed at a decent hour, stay out of trouble,and be attentive. The Networked Student
The video is about using more technology for the field of Education.The students would meet in the classrooms for a regular lecture review and the rest of the assignments would be done though the internet.I would have to believe that this is a excellent idea. I think that this would prepare each student for the proper way of keeping information and interacting with others.Middle school is the starting point.Therefore when the students get to high school, they will be prepared for their computer classes.I think that networking is the source of finding what is really out there in the world.Students could find out what really interest them from other places.

We are asked why do these Networked Student need a teacher.Well I believe also that the teachers are the guidance for the students and help monitor them for the ideas that have been set. The students will gain the confidence in themselves to reach out for the unknown. Teacher are the light of information and preparation for new ideas.

I want to be a first grade teacher so I would not use this type of technology just yet.I want to be hands on with my students. Elementary students need guidance. I do not knock the idea because its new and technology is growing in many different ways.I would want to be prepare just in case to teach the networked student if I made changes in my career.I would recommend this to start in middle student age range.I watched the seven grader video on her personal network.It was amazing on all the things she could do. She learned how to be responsible with the assignments that were due.She could show the creative side all done by the internet.I enjoyed watching the video.

Blog 5 Assignment

The Lang witches Blog was awesome. The blog showed ways that children got involved with the podcast. When first introducing podcast to the parents and administrators, many may seem worry about how is it helping in the classrooms.The blog explains how this type of technology helps the students build basic literacy skills.Students are gaining skills in many ways,for example presentation skills, digital storytelling skill, and organizational skills to name a few.In the Langwitches blog podcast, there are examples of ways to use podcast for your students.Several posts are about being creative giving storytelling and also during time lines.The blog was very interesting.

I also read about the Eagle Nest Radio class blog.It was a class blog were students basically did a historical podcast.It was awesome to listen to how they were so involved.Another, podcast I watched was the Educational Podcasting Network.It was a network on where teacher discussed the podcast and other ideas.

I can admit that I did not know much about podcast or how to even start one.These examples really keep my attention in learning more about it.I can give ways to start them now and tell how they are valuable in classrooms. I would use these overview podcast in my own podcast, simply by giving an insight on how others can use them and learn from podcast.

My reaction to this reading leaves you thinking about the safety of all children.I feel that in this generation children will explore and learn what is not always taught.They will learn technology mostly on your their own.I feel as though a parent knows their children and blocks should be place on computers with a certain age limit. I would have to take in consideration they different types of individual online each day. When it comes to protection only so much we can do and I agree that we should try to protect children as much as we can see.Times are at a changing view now and I believe that if things can be prevented then why not continue trying.Scott McLeod is a Associate Professor of Educational Administration at Iowa State University and the Director of the UCEA for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education.

The ischool Initiative
The high school student is a thinker I would say in this power-point.He thought of ways to save money and to get parents involved with their children education.He gives a break down on how this could really work in the school.The students shows all the examples to keep the interest of the viewers.The power point is something that could become worldwide in business places.

My reaction to this video was left with thoughts of how things would work.When I saw how it was describe it lets you think of how inventions will continue to grow.I believe that this would not be so bad if teachers eased into it with the students to get them prepared for the work. Students still need time with their teacher I would have to say that much.Creativeness is a way to keep the students in involved.The ischool would also save a lot of money because everything is at your fingers.The video was a great way of something new and updated.But there is always having to have electrical power for these items books,paper and other things are always guaranteed to work.

The Lost Generation
Wow this was awesome. I love the way it started and finished with motivation.I believe that is up to us to change the world.No matter what has been said we have to believe in ourselves and be the help for others.We as the future have to not only think but also be what we have set goals to be.The lost will be found if we as individuals get the focus on a new view in life. I absolutely loved this short film.

Wow I loved this post.When singing is apart of you as it is for me things like this leaves your mind at peace. I like the way that everyone is in a different place doing something that relaxes their spirit. It was just awesome how he could deliver this message and doing it with the greatness of computers. I was assigned to read Matthew Needleman posts.My first post was about addressing comprehension errors.I really like the post because it gave ways to get students to improved their language.The post stated how you as teachers have to find ways to help students see mistakes they use by taking in a test called the error analysis.Practice is key when having a student to see their mistakes.They have to use context clues.Matthew Needleman post a few ways to help students view ways of learning errors.

My second post I read from Needleman was about effective ways to show videos in the classroom.He says that videos should not be a treat for Fridays,yet they should be at the beginning of class. Videos shouldn't be just a way to get away from books or paper but another resource for the students.The video should have meaning behind the showing of it. When showing a video students should be involved have them to look for a particular object during the film. Also teachers should always stay alert and keep the class alert as well.The information that Needleman gave will really be mindful in my career.

I was very interested in Matthew posts and will continue to look at more blogs.He really has great work to want many to visit back for the techniques that he uses.I will recommend everyone to check out his posts.

A Vision of Students Today.
When looking at my college experiences, I can relate to the video the visions of students today. The actions that are taken in the classroom many lack to look around. Some individuals pay for classes that they will never attend and complain about the workload or not understanding the assignments.The debt will be there for some that have to work full time jobs to maintain their schedules, but yet it is for a good education with possibilities of a better pay rate.In the video looking around one says that we are preparing ourselves for jobs that do not exist yet, well that is true but inventions upgrades and we must upgrade with the systems.

Time management will help each one of us in college.When we as individuals take the effort to help ourselves more will come to us.The readings that we feel are useless will help us either in the class we are taking or other classes.If we build communication skills with our professors we could learn more from them and what they have to offer.In the video, I think I would add the good things that we complain about as students and the outcomes of what we talk about. There are many ways that we can look at the positives.We as as students may have a full time job,families,or just a busy workload yet we are gaining knowledge for our careers and everyday life.

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY-KELLY HINES

When coming across Kelly Hines post it really left a thinking method in my brain.I agree with Kelly when she said that it is not about technology because there is more out there to learn.The teaching system is one thing that needs to be a change in this century.We can not just keep the focus all on the technology. Yes, do need it because with great teacher a lot can happen when using the technique in different ways. Also with staying update to date with the new invention we as teachers can help our students learn.Teachers have to continue to be learners how can we teach if we aren't willing to learn.Once we learn we can show values of ways to our future students.Kelly Hines really gave helpful information with stating that.

Kelly Hines gave a list of things teachers need to recognize and can be very useful.I found her post to be an insight to all.Kelly has a new way of getting the attention of others and it is great.I will also continue to see more of the things she post.

Karl Fisch:Is It Okay to Be A Technologically Illiterate Teacher?

I read Mr.Fisch post very interesting I would have to say.I do not feel as strong as he would but I do agree that we all need to be skillful with technology.We should not be illiterate.We as teacher should know the basic skill of the computer.I feel like a lot of opinions were made which is just, but all about one should be embarrassed for not knowing nothing about technology as they should is a statement there is always time to be updated.I agree that all teachers should be educated when it comes to software and the basic computer skills.

I would have to say that certain teachers have studied that field of interest so they are the ones that will help students find the resources of the computers.When students progress to upper grades I believe that teachers should know a lot more than expected, but if not I would not say they should be not proud of themselves.Technology should be in the classrooms and should teachers should know the basics skills to help students learn certain methods. I agree with Karl Fisch on a certain level about not being an illiterate teacher,yet teachers shouldn't be afraid of not knowing all there is to know.

The world is changing before the blink of an eye. Mr. Winkle is in shock as well as I am each day by the change in the world. Technology is growing so much faster than the way others can remember. It’s hard trying to keep up with the pace of how things work. When looking around new invention are developing a new mind set just like an individual. The jobs have change for as the workloads and requirements.

School is the preparations for this world change.Teachers remain focus on teaching students the basic formula for laying the foundation down for the world. The classroom is where things may change for the better of each generation. Although, change has been made it helps us all keep our eyes open to take in the new instead of the old. The movie Mr. Winkle Wake helps individual see change and notice our surroundings. I took this movie as keep the focus and keep the pace, but hold on to what remains the same.

I was left thinking after watching the movie did you know? by Karl Fisch. I learned about things that I really did not know or maybe I just did not think of it as often. The world is continuing to grow with each generation so many new inventions will be made. The children will be preparing for a new presentation in life. They will learn more than my generation has been taught and teachers will have more to look farther to in the classrooms.

The movie leaves you speechless as it moves on. I think about the jobs that will be new and improved with technology that has not even been thought of at this moment. If you only imagine how it is now, think about years from now. Children have develop faster in other places and begin wanting to know how they can became great. They put their minds at other inventions starting from a small age. Each day, moment.min, sec someone is thinking of something new to add to a cell phone, computer, and new fresh car. A device is a hand on rotations that we all have to prepare ourselves for the making. The movie is a preparation of thoughts and learning to help the world see how fast the world will and is still changing. The movie helps us all see what steps need to be made to for what will exist in the future.

Harness Your students digital Smarts was interesting.It helps students improve more on just paper and pencil assignments.It keeps students connected to the world.I like the video because its a sense teaching everyone including the teacher.The video shows that you as a teacher do not have to know it all you to can learn form your students.When learning from your students that also builds a connection with you as their teacher.The digital project makes the classroom hours go by smoothly because each one is interested.

Blog 2 The Importance of Creativity.

Creativity is something we all have, but when academics is the main focus sometimes students lose a passion that they love.Sir Ken is right when saying that creativity is something that we do and can be used in many ways. Inventions are based on intelligence and creativity right? When having the ideas and making them original is the key factor.Education is the way to make creativity come alive and make students stay focus on dreams as well as academics.How are you to keep a students focus without being creative.Teachers are students believer when some lack the confidence within themselves.Students ideas can be a product to help others.When showing creative ways it solves issues that many students may have inside the classroom.Alternatives are the key and ways to learning.Children succeed more when using tools with techniques.

Creativity is the way that I would take with teaching students and keeping them interested in the classroom.The students are more well rounded when they can express themselves.Education has to have a new vision as the generation grows.Students often lose or lack interest in the maths,english science,etc when its not made in a way that keeps the focused.Sir Ken kept my attention with the message because its so very true creativity gets some people far if they do not lose it. Education is the world greatest outlet to show originality if the dream is not broken.I always say keep the dreams alive and be the person that you are set out to be.Creativity will continue to show in many classrooms with the help of the vision Sir Ken delivered to the world.

 Hello my name is Catina Magby.I am from a small town called Valley, Alabama its about ten min away from Auburn if never heard of that location. I am the oldest of three siblings, two brothers and one baby sister. I transferred to South Alabama in the Fall of 2008 with the major of Elementary Education. I happen to be attending the University of South Alabama now currently as a Junior because of wanting to be closer to my father. He is in the military and this is the first couple of years that I could be much closer to him. While growing up that was never a chance for that. My mother is a full time worker as a cater and she also attends school in the evenings. She manage the household and my little sister the handful of the house.
I have always wanted to be a light to someone darkness and a sense of help.Education is one of the many majors that would help me as person to be able to pursue that dream. I want to enter the field of Education because I have always cared about children learning and wanting to be someone great at a early age.Also, I worked in many places such as daycares and rec centers being able to experience the smiles of impact that I leave just by showing I care.Those are just a few reasons I would like to be in the field of Education.
Lastly. I have a passion for fashion. I was also accepted to attend Fashion school, but decided to take that chance maybe later on in life. When feeling down one of the things I have a passion for is singing. The best thing that I can do is make a person feel great about themselves when others leave bruises.So maybe one or many things to take from me is that I just love to impact an individual life and be helpful in ways that I can be.
